Singha sponsors $50,000 USTA Women's Tennis Tournament

The Thai Tennis Organization in America and Thai Royal Embassy are proud to announce The Singha Beer U.S. Tennis Association (USTA) $50,000 Tennis Tournament, and the Thai Festival. The events will be held Oct. 9th-17th, 2004 at the Ashburn Village Sports Pavilion in Ashburn, VA.

The Singha Beer USTA $50,000 Tennis Tournament is the largest women’s professional tennis tournament occurring in Northern Virginia in more than 20 years. The tournament begins on Sunday, Oct. 10th and continues through Sunday, Oct. 17th. Over 100 up-and-coming tennis stars from across the globe will compete in this event. Some players are ranked as high as 40th in the world. More than 10,000 spectators are expected to attend the competition.

On Oct. 9th and 10th from 10am-8pm, The Thai Festival will feature 30 vendors, traditional Thai food, and all day stage performances. Singha Beer will provide the largest Singha Beer Garden in the United States for spectator enjoyment. The famous Thai Kickboxing Team from Las Vegas, NV will showcase their talents, and many cultural and art exhibits will be on display. The Royal Thai Embassy is taking a leading role in organizing and promoting the Thai Festival.

Proceeds will benefit several local charities, including the Girl Scouts, Friends of Loudon County Public Schools, Children’s National Hospital, Loudon County Hospital, Thai Temples, Loudon County Fire Department and the Virginia Tennis Foundation.
